Carl Wayne was born on August 18, 1943 in Birmingham.

Background

When Allan Clarke Decided to leave The Hollies February 1st 2000,

after a big Hollies Tour, The Hollies wanted to find a new Leadsinger.

So Carl wayne came in the Group, and replaced Allan Clarke as Leadsinger.

Carl Wayne played with Keith Powell & Valets in 1964. From 1965 to 1966 Carl Wayne and Vikings, and from 1966 to 1969 Carl Wayne played with The Move (with Roy Wood and Louis Clark).

Jeff Lynne from ELO replaced Carl wayne in The Move, when he wanted to go solo.

Carl Wayne has performed a lot of Records, TV and stage World-Wide from 1970 to 1999, notably as "The Narrator" in The London West End Production of the Award winning Musical "Blood Brothers".

Carl Wayne say: I applaud Allan Clarke's extraordinary contribution to the

success of The Hollies over many years and his dicision to leave for Personal reaseon is admirable.

I can never replace Allan Clarke, he WAS The Hollies during their Hit-making Peak. Allan was the Heart, the Soul and the Voice of The Hollies for many many years.

I look forward to a successful association with The Hollies and although I

acknowledge their for midable musical reputation, I feel this is a new stage in their illustrious career.

Whilst respecting what has alreade been achieved, I am not joining The

Hollies just to make up the numbers.

The year 2000 and forward gives us the opportunity to move forward and

rather than constantly refer to the past, there now exists enormous potential to record and succeed with new material.

Carl's next appearance on rekord will be as a special guest on EMI's

forthcoming remastered edition of Electric Light Orchestra's "ELO 2" album. Three songs, recorded by ELO with Carl Wayne on lead vokals during 1973, were recently discovered in EMI's archives and released on 3 March 2003.

Carl Wayne have recording a lots of records with Carl Wayne & Vikings,

Move, and many difference Artist like Roy Wood, Stephanie Lawrence, Jacqui Perkins, Linda Hibberd, Nick Curtis,Tracy Collier, Dennis Lotis and Marti Webb, Michaela Strachan, Kim Criswell and many more.

He have recording many solo records/CD's to.
